We have made one year of progress.
In the implementing decision (EU) 2023/1586 (consolidated list of 26.07.23) it is confirmed that the current EN 619:2022 "Continuous conveyors and systems - Safety requirements for mechanical conveying equipment for unit loads" is harmonized under the Machinery Directive!
This means that with the correct application of the new DIN EN 619:2022, the state of the art is realized, which increases both safety for the machine operator and legal certainty for the manufacturer and operator.
The application of this standard, which is required for many different types of plants and machines, poses new challenges for manufacturers and operators. In recent months, we have frequently dealt with these issues and held an in-house training session including an exchange of experiences on 31.07.23.

Teilnehmerkreis
− Alle Personen im Unternehmen, die von dem Thema betroffen sein können
Schulungsinhalt
− Erweiterung des Anwendungsbereichs,
− Einführung eines Bereichskonzepts,
− Verhinderung des Zugangs über Lastein-/Lastausschleusestellen in Abhängigkeit der verschiedenen Bereiche,
− Festlegung der maximalen Geschwindigkeiten,
− Liste der erforderlichen Performance Level für steuerungstechnische Sicherheitsfunktionen,
− Sicherheitsanforderungen/-maßnahmen für die einzelnen Arten von Stetigförderern,
− die Feststellung der Übereinstimmung mit den Sicherheitsanforderungen und/oder -maßnahmen,
Zeitlicher Umfang der Schulung
- Die Schulung wird um 9:00 Uhr beginnen, von einer halbstündigen Mittagspause unterbrochen werden und dann bis ca. 16:00 Uhr dauern.
