Benhil, founded more than 100 years ago in Düsseldorf, is now part of the global group IMA Dairy & Food, which is represented with numerous locations in Europe, Asia and America. Packaging machines for butter, margarine and soup pastes, which are used on all continents, are developed and produced at the current location in Neuss. Dipl.-Phys. Markus Aberle: “Since then, Lauer CE-Safety GmbH has been responsible for all risk assessments, training, consulting on machine safety and verification & validation for new machines. We use a real all-round carefree package that covers every need. When it comes to minor changes, we can easily incorporate them ourselves thanks to the Lauer software and database.
Even when we convert our customers Benhil machines on site, Mr. Lauer is by our side. He gives practical tips for improving safety directly at the machine and makes the necessary changes in the risk assessment. We thus pass on our all-round carefree package to our customers, who greatly appreciate it.
Hygiene, operational safety and above all operator safety play important roles in our industry – for us and our customers. Thanks to the cooperation with Lauer CE-Safety GmbH and especially Mr. Lauer himself, we are sure not to overlook anything. His wide range of experience and his prudence are incorporated into each of the results from his company. Once he has carried out the risk assessment, we would not have to worry even if an accident should occur at the customer’s premises.”
Markus Aberle has been with Benhil for many years and is responsible for tasks such as documentation, risk assessment and CE marking. In 2005 he found a partner in the Lauer CE-Safety GmbH to help his company overcome the initial difficulties with WEKA’s risk assessment software. Due to the much simpler application and better compliance with the in-house processes, Benhil later switched to the software and database solution from Lauer.
